Beccy Cole live
A headline set shared with a crowd ready to listen, sing and settle into the night.
Almost 1,100 people came through the gates for a winter night built around community, queer creativity and taking up space together.
It was cold outside. Inside the walls, our community made the place feel completely ours.
People came to eat, shop, listen, dance, catch up and spend time together. Local makers and traders filled the market. Performers brought the stage to life. Friends found one another in the crowd. For one night, a place built to hold people in became a place where our community could be open, visible and together.
That's what reclaiming space looks like — not a slogan, but a full venue, a warm welcome, and almost 1,100 people showing up for each other to celebrate community and warm up a winter night.

Big Gay Night Markets happened because people trusted us with their time, their work and their night. We're proud of what filled the Gaol, and even prouder of the community that filled it.
